Even a well-installed solar system needs attention over time. Perth summers push inverters hard. Salt air wears connectors near the coast, and winter storms test cabling and isolators. When something stops working, you lose generation every day until it is fixed.
Our licensed electricians work on all major solar and battery brands. We find the cause of the fault, replace only the parts that have failed, and check that your system is running safely before we leave.
We work on systems we did not install. We are also authorised to complete warranty repairs on approved products, and we handle the claim paperwork. If a repair is not worth doing, we will tell you before we quote.
If your power use has grown since your system went in, we can also add panels or a battery to what you already have.

Is something wrong?
Signs your solar system needs attention
Most solar faults give a warning before they stop the system completely. Check for these.
Your inverter shows a fault code, a red light or a flashing light.
Output is down compared with the same month last year.
Your app shows little or no generation on a sunny day.
Your power bill has risen and your usage has not.
A panel has cracked glass, burn marks or discoloured cells.
The system stayed off after a storm or a grid outage.
Not sure if it is a fault?
A small drop each year is normal ageing. A sudden drop is not. Send us a photo of your inverter screen and your last 30 days of generation, and we will tell you what we see.
Common faults and error codes

| 103 | AC voltage too low. | Usually clears when the grid recovers. If it keeps showing, call us. |
| 105 / 106 | AC frequency too high / too low. | Usually a short grid event that clears by itself. If it keeps showing, call us. |
| 107 | AC grid outside the permissible limits. | Check whether there is a power outage in your area. If the grid is on and the code stays, call us. |
| 303 / 304 | Over temperature. The inverter has paused to cool down. | Make sure the cooling vents are clear. It restarts by itself. If it happens often, call us. |
| 306 / 307 | Low PV output / low PV voltage. Not enough power is coming from the panels. | Normal at dawn and dusk. If it shows in full sun, call us. |
| 447 / 475 | Insulation fault / solar panel ground fault. Current may be leaking to earth. | Do not touch the panels or cabling. Call a licensed electrician. |
| 509 | No energy fed into the grid in the past 24 hours. | Check for other codes on the display. If the system is not producing, call us. |
| 567 | Grid voltage dependent power reduction. Output has been reduced because grid voltage went above 250 V. | This is a warning, not a fault. If it happens often, call us to check your grid voltage. |

| 1006 | String input overvoltage. The panel string voltage is above the inverter's limit. | Call us. The string may need to be reconfigured. |
| 1007 | String reversely connected. The polarity of a solar string is reversed. | Do not touch the DC wiring. Call a licensed electrician. |
| 1009 | AFCI fault. A possible arc in the DC cabling or a poor connector. | Treat as urgent. Do not touch the panels or cabling, and call us. |
| 1010 | Grid power outage. The grid is down or the AC switch is off. | The system reconnects when power returns. If the grid is on, check the AC switch, then call us. |
| 1011 / 1012 | Grid overvoltage / undervoltage. | Reconnects by itself. If it repeats, call us to measure your grid voltage. |
| 1013 / 1014 | Grid overfrequency / underfrequency. | Usually a short grid event. If it repeats, call us. |

Repairs
Solar repairs we handle in Perth
We find the cause first, then fix only what has failed. Perth heat, coastal salt air and winter storms each cause their own faults.
Inverter faults and replacement
The inverter usually fails first. On a hot west-facing wall it can cut its own output above 40 degrees, and the fix may be shade or relocation, not a new unit.
Underperforming panels and strings
One weak panel can pull down a whole string. We test each string for shading, hotspots, failed optimisers and corroded connectors.
DC isolators, wiring and compliance
Roof isolators sit in full sun and fail more often than owners expect. We check against AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 3000 and fix what fails.
Warranty repairs
We are authorised for warranty work on many brands and handle the claim paperwork. If we are not authorised for yours, we tell you who is.
Battery faults and errors
A battery that won’t charge, drains too fast or shows an error code usually points to a settings, communication or hardware fault. We check the battery, the inverter link and the system settings, and fix what is causing it.
