Willetton is leafy, established and full of classic terracotta roofs, and this home is a good example of all three. Mature trees crowd around the property, the tiles are a deep red, and the job was a 9.975kW solar system paired with an AlphaESS battery setup big enough to need two cabinets.

The Roof

The roof has plenty of hips and a whirlybird sitting on one of the main faces, so Jaxon and the team set the panels out in several groups rather than one block. A long double run follows one face, a shorter set sits beside the whirlybird, and more panels step up toward the ridge. Every group is square to the tiles, with the hooks fitted under them to keep the roof watertight.

Two Cabinets, One System

The storage is an AlphaESS SMILE-G3 with a 5kW inverter and 37.2kWh of battery storage spread across two cabinets, a taller one and a shorter one alongside it. They stand side by side against the red-brown brick under cover, each with its own steel bollard, and the isolators sit above them on the wall.

AlphaESS has been a mainstay on DMG jobs for years, and the SMILE-G3 remains a solid choice for households that want a lot of storage behind a modest inverter. At more than 37kWh, this home can bank most of a sunny day’s generation and run on it well into the night.

It’s a combination we’ve fitted in Willetton before. Our earlier 5kW AlphaESS installation used the same 37.2kWh of storage, and there’s a 9.97kW system with 37kWh nearby too.

System Specifications

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
