Thirty-six panels is a lot for one suburban roof. On this Cottesloe home they fill a long metal roof face in tight, even rows, with the canopy of the neighbouring trees rising right up behind them.

The Array

The 17.1kW solar system is made up of 36 Trina Solar Vertex S+ 475W panels. With trees that size nearby, placement mattered. The array was laid out across the roof face that gets the clearest run of sun, and the rows were kept tight so the whole thing reads as one clean block rather than a patchwork.

The Controller

Running an array that size takes a bigger inverter. This home has a 15kW Sigenergy SigenStor three phase controller, with four battery modules stacked beneath it for 36.16kWh of storage.

It’s in the garage against a rendered wall, sharing the space with a leaf blower and a bike, with a steel bollard on each side, the isolator above and signage to the right. The SigenStor all-in-one design keeps it to a single stack rather than a wall full of boxes.

What It Adds Up To

A 17.1kW array produces far more than most homes use in the middle of the day. With 36kWh of storage behind it, the surplus fills the battery, and the battery runs the house through the evening and overnight. Wesley Wright led the install.

Cottesloe’s western suburbs neighbours have a few Sigenergy systems of ours too, including Peppermint Grove and City Beach.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
