5kW AlphaESS Inverter with 37.2kWh Battery Storage Installed in Willetton

We recently completed a substantial battery storage installation in Willetton, fitting an AlphaESS system designed to give the household far greater control over how and when it uses its energy.

This home is now equipped with a 5kW AlphaESS inverter paired with 37.2kWh of battery storage. It’s a serious amount of stored capacity – enough to shift a household’s energy use well into the evening and overnight, drawing on stored power rather than the grid when electricity prices are at their highest.

The two units were floor-mounted in the garage against a solid brick wall, with protective bollards installed in front of each to guard against accidental knocks from vehicles or day-to-day activity. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind of thing that protects the investment for the long term – and it keeps the installation neat, safe and compliant.

With 37.2kWh of capacity, this system offers extended coverage for the home. Rather than relying on the grid through peak demand periods, the household can run essential loads from stored energy for long stretches. That’s particularly valuable through a Western Australian summer, when air-conditioning use climbs and grid electricity is at its most expensive.
