9.97kW Solar + 37kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Willetton

This Willetton home now runs on 9.97kW of solar generation backed by a 5kW AlphaESS inverter and 37kWh of AlphaESS battery storage, a serious setup designed to take this household close to fully self-sufficient.

A 9.97kW array is right at the upper end of typical residential sizing in WA, perfect for a family home with strong daytime appliance use and the appetite to store a chunk of energy for the evening.

The panels were laid out across the tiled roof, with high-efficiency mono modules clamped onto galvanised rails. The team worked carefully around existing roof vents and the tile profile to keep the rows tight and aligned.

The AlphaESS inverter and battery stack went up outside under cover on a brick wall, with the modules sitting on protective bases and full warning signage in place. The 5kW inverter handles both solar and battery operation through AlphaESS’s hybrid platform.

With 37kWh of usable battery storage, this Willetton home can soak up nearly all of its midday solar surplus and discharge it through the evening peak instead of importing expensive grid power.

The install was led by Jaxon, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, working alongside the broader install team to handle rooftop, cabinet and commissioning work in a single visit.
