Installed in Falcon – 6210

Down near Mandurah, this Falcon home sits on a green, open block ringed by tall gums and a palm or two, with a caravan parked up in the yard. It’s about as relaxed a setting as we get to work in, and the roof had plenty of clear, sunny tile to work with once the panels were kept away from the tree line.

Shehan Gunasinghe and the team fitted 14 Trina Solar Vertex S+ 475W panels, a 6.65kW solar system, in groups across the brown concrete tiles. The rows are laid out to face the open sky rather than the canopy, which keeps shading from the trees to a minimum through the day.

Two Boxes Instead of One

Many of our recent battery installs use all-in-one units, where the inverter and battery share a single cabinet. This one is different. The FoxESS H3 Smart is a 5kW three phase hybrid inverter that mounts on the wall, and the FoxESS battery sits on the floor underneath it, joined by a single run of conduit.

The inverter went up on the cream brick with its isolators beside it and the safety signage alongside. Below, the battery stands between two steel bollards, giving the home 13.92kWh of storage. Splitting the two keeps the inverter at a comfortable height for checking its display, and FoxESS batteries are designed to have modules added later. More on the hardware is on the FoxESS hybrid inverter page.

We’ve been working around the Peel region for a while now. Have a look at an earlier Falcon solar and battery system, or a job just along the coast in Wannanup.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
