We recently delivered a major energy storage upgrade for a homeowner in Champion Lakes. The property already had a functioning solar system, but like many WA households, they were exporting excess power to the grid during the day and still paying high tariffs to buy electricity back each evening.

System Overview

This home battery upgrade includes:

• 4 Alpha ESS 5 kWh batteries, totalling 20 kWh of storage

The system has been AC-coupled to the client’s existing solar installation. This ensures smooth system integration without replacing hardware that is still performing well.

The Alpha ESS Hybrid Inverter delivers smart energy management across both the solar and battery systems. It prioritises solar power for household use first and then charges the batteries with any surplus generation. Only once the battery is full does excess energy export to the grid.
