We recently completed another high-capacity solar and battery installation in Canning Vale, delivering a system designed for maximum efficiency, smart layout and long-term performance.

This home is now powered by a 9.975kW solar system paired with a 5kW inverter and an impressive 50.5kWh of battery storage. The solar array generates strong daytime output, while the large battery bank allows the household to store excess energy for use in the evening and overnight.

A key feature of this installation is the battery configuration. The battery units have been installed back to back on opposite sides of a wall. This approach offers several important advantages.

With 50.5kWh of storage available, the home can significantly reduce grid reliance, particularly during peak tariff periods. Rather than exporting excess solar at low feed-in rates, the system stores surplus generation for later use, improving overall return on investment.

The 5kW inverter intelligently manages energy flow, prioritising household loads, then charging the battery, and exporting only when storage capacity has been reached. This structured control ensures the system operates efficiently year-round, including during high-demand summer months in Western Australia.
