This Wellard household has just gone live with a 9.97kW solar and 50kWh AlphaESS battery installation, paired with a 5kW AlphaESS hybrid inverter. The combination delivers serious storage capacity and a generation profile suited to a high consumption family home.

The solar array was split across two roof sections, with a long string of panels running down a side aspect to maximise afternoon production and a second array facing the main aspect for strong midday output. Tile hooks were used throughout to keep the roof watertight and the panel layout neat.

Inside the garage, the AlphaESS hybrid inverter sits stacked above the battery modules with bollards installed in front for impact protection. The setup is fully compliant with current battery safety standards, with clear signage and adequate ventilation around the equipment.
