9.97kW Solar + 50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Leeming

This Leeming home is now powered by 9.97kW of new solar paired with a 50kWh DC coupled AlphaESS battery bank, giving the family huge storage capacity to make the most of every sunny day.

Because the solar array and the battery cabinets were installed together, we wired everything DC coupled through the AlphaESS hybrid inverter. That gives the highest round trip efficiency and lets the system make smarter decisions about when to charge, discharge and feed back to the grid.

On the rooftop, the 9.97kW solar array is split across two pitches and orientations so the system harvests strong morning and afternoon sun. The panels are flush mounted on the tin roof with all cabling neatly tucked under the array.

Inside the garage, the AlphaESS hybrid inverter is wall mounted on the right hand pier with three battery cabinets stood neatly along the wall. Every cabinet sits on an anchored base with full clearance for ventilation and access, and all danger labels, isolators and shutdown procedures are positioned to meet Western Power requirements.

With 50kWh of usable storage this household can keep the lights, fridge, aircon and even an EV running well into the night on stored solar.
