9.97kW Solar + 50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Bicton

A Bicton home has just been upgraded with a brand new 9.97kW rooftop solar array, a 5kW AlphaESS hybrid inverter and 50kWh of battery storage, a future ready package designed to handle whatever the household throws at it.

Pairing a single 5kW AlphaESS hybrid inverter with 50kWh of battery cabinets gives the home exceptional storage headroom relative to its inverter size, which means the system spends very little time exporting to the grid and a lot of time charging and discharging stored solar.

On the roof, the 9.97kW solar array is split across two roof faces so the home captures consistent generation from sunrise through to late afternoon. The panels are flush mounted with all cabling routed cleanly under the array, and there is room to add a few extra panels later if needed.

Inside the garage, the AlphaESS hybrid inverter is mounted on the right pier between the brick columns, with two battery cabinets stepped down beside it. Battery isolators and labelling sit on the wall above, and all danger and shutdown signage is clearly visible for the Western Power inspection.
