9.975kW Solar + 50.5kWh Battery Installed in Aubin Grove

We recently completed a high-capacity solar and battery installation in Aubin Grove, delivering a system built to maximise solar generation while significantly reducing the household’s reliance on the grid.

This home is now equipped with a 9.975kW solar system, a 5kW inverter and a substantial 50.5kWh AlphaESS battery storage system. The combination provides strong daytime generation alongside a large reserve of stored energy for use well into the evening and overnight.

The panels were installed across the home’s grey Colorbond roof in clean, well-aligned rows. With close to 10kW of solar capacity, the property generates ample power through daylight hours. Rather than exporting the majority of that energy back to the grid at low feed-in rates, the system directs surplus production into the battery, so the household can draw on its own stored solar energy when electricity prices are at their highest.

The 50.5kWh battery capacity offers extended coverage, making it possible to run essential household loads for long periods without grid input. This level of storage is particularly valuable through a Western Australian summer, when air-conditioning use climbs and grid electricity is at its most expensive.

The three AlphaESS units were neatly wall-positioned in a sheltered garage area and finished with protective bollards in front of each. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind of thing that protects the investment for the long term – and it keeps the installation tidy, safe and compliant.

The 5kW inverter manages energy distribution efficiently, prioritising real-time solar use first, then charging the battery, and only exporting once storage is full. This structured energy flow improves overall system performance and increases long-term savings.
