System Layout and Installation Details

The rooftop solar array was arranged across multiple aspects of the home to maximise available roof space and achieve consistent generation throughout the day. Panels were mounted on the roof using non-penetrative brackets that maintain the roof’s integrity while providing solid long-term stability.

Inside the garage, the battery units were installed neatly along the brick wall, spaced for appropriate ventilation and future servicing access. Conduits were run overhead and along the wall in clean, straight lines to keep the installation safe, compliant, and visually tidy. Protective bollards were fitted in front of each battery unit, offering extra safety in a drive-through garage environment.

The smart meter ties the system together, giving the homeowner real-time visibility of solar production, battery behaviour, and household consumption. It also handles export limiting when needed and ensures smooth operation of the blackout protection system.
