High-Capacity Storage with Three-Phase Control and Full Blackout Protection

This Forrestdale home was upgraded with a robust solar and battery system designed to deliver strong daily generation, deep energy storage, and reliable backup power across the entire property. The installation combines a 9.97 kW solar array with a substantial 50 kWh battery bank, all managed through a three-phase smart meter to ensure balanced, efficient energy use.

The system has been configured to support blackout protection, allowing the household to continue operating key circuits during grid outages without disruption.

What Was Installed

9.97 kW of high-performance rooftop solar panels
50 kWh battery storage system
Battery inverter integrated with the storage units
Three-phase smart meter for accurate monitoring and load balancing
Blackout protection configured for seamless changeover during outages

Installation Notes and System Layout

The battery units were installed neatly along the garage wall, with clear spacing for ventilation and ongoing service access. Conduit runs were kept tidy and direct, ensuring a clean finish that complies with current electrical standards.

On the roof, the solar array was positioned to maximise exposure throughout the day. Panels were mounted securely on the metal roof using non-invasive mounting hardware, maintaining roof integrity while delivering consistent performance.

The three-phase smart meter plays a central role in this system, allowing the homeowner to monitor solar generation, battery charge levels, and household consumption in real time while intelligently managing energy flows across all phases.

How the System Benefits the Household

Strong daytime generation from a near-10 kW solar array
Large 50 kWh battery capacity for overnight use and extended outages
Full blackout protection for added security and peace of mind
Balanced energy distribution across a three-phase supply
Reduced reliance on the grid during peak tariff periods

Final Result

This Forrestdale installation delivers a well-balanced and future-ready energy solution. With high solar output, substantial battery storage, and three-phase smart control, the system provides long-term resilience, lower grid dependence, and reliable backup power when it matters most.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
