8kW Solar + 50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Nedlands

This Nedlands install is a proper end-to-end energy upgrade, 8kW of rooftop solar paired with a serious 50kWh AlphaESS battery system, all designed to take this home as close to grid independence as practical.

The owners wanted a setup that did not just shave a bit off their bill, they wanted to actively run the house on their own solar energy, day and night. With 50kWh of usable battery storage on the wall, that is exactly what this system delivers.

The solar array was split across multiple roof faces to maximise generation across the day, with high-efficiency mono panels mounted on the existing metal roof using corrosion-resistant rails and clamps.

Indoors, the AlphaESS battery and inverter stack was installed in a clean utility area with all of the required signage, isolators and warnings clearly visible. Compact, tidy, and properly compliant.

A 50kWh battery bank is more than enough to cover the evening peak, overnight loads and a hefty buffer for cloudy days, so the household can ride out long stretches without pulling from the grid.

This install was led by Carl, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, who coordinated both the rooftop solar build and the indoor battery commissioning.
