Not every home needs a battery the size of a fridge. This Nollamara system is a good example of something sized to fit: a 6.65kW solar array, a 5kW Sigenergy SigenStor controller and two battery modules, installed by Wesley Wright and the team.

On the Roof

Fourteen Trina Solar Vertex S+ 475W panels make up the 6.65kW solar system. The roof is dark concrete tile with a few different faces, so the panels were set out in groups, with the rows laid square to the tile lines and the mounting hooks fitted under the tiles so the roof stays watertight.

Under the Patio

The battery went under the patio roof against a red face brick wall, which gives it shade and shelter from the weather. The SigenStor stands on the pavers with its isolator mounted on the wall above, safety signage to one side and a steel bollard fixed to the ground at the corner. Two battery modules sit under the controller, giving the home 18.08kWh of storage.

Why This Size Works

With 6.65kW on the roof, a sunny day produces enough to cover daytime use and still fill 18kWh of battery for the evening. It’s a balanced pairing that doesn’t ask a small roof to do too much. SigenStor is also modular, so more battery modules can be added to the same stack later if needs change.

A little further south, we recently installed a larger SigenStor system in Yokine on the same 6.65kW of solar, which is worth a look if you’re weighing up capacity.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
