50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Hilbert

DMG Solar has just completed a 50kWh DC coupled AlphaESS battery system at a Hilbert property, giving this family one of the largest residential storage capacities we install.

Going DC coupled means the solar panels feed straight into the AlphaESS hybrid inverter, which then routes power between the battery, the home and the grid with very low conversion losses. It is the most efficient way to run a brand new solar and battery system together.

Three battery cabinets stand in a tidy row in the garage, fed from the hybrid inverter on the left, with isolators mounted above. Cabinet bases are floor anchored and ventilated, and every danger sticker, ES label and shutdown procedure is positioned exactly where the inspector wants to see it.

With 50kWh of usable capacity this home can store a serious amount of solar through the day and ride straight into the evening peak without pulling from the grid. There is also enough overhead to handle backup loads if the grid goes down, which is becoming a real consideration for Perth households.
