50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Greenwood

DMG Solar recently completed a 50kWh AC coupled AlphaESS battery installation at a Greenwood home, giving the homeowner the ability to store and use much more of their daytime solar energy after dark.

AC coupling lets us add serious battery capacity to a property that already has an existing solar system. In this case the home is running a Fronius string inverter, and the new AlphaESS battery cabinets sit alongside it without any rewiring of the solar array.

The installation lives in the garage on a clean red brick wall, with the AlphaESS hybrid inverter and the first battery cabinet stacked together, then two additional tower batteries beside them to make up the full 50kWh of usable storage.

Battery isolators, danger signage and shutdown procedure stickers are all clearly labelled to meet Western Power and Clean Energy Council requirements, which is standard practice on every job we hand over.

A 50kWh battery bank is a significant step up from the 10-15kWh range most households install, and it is a great fit for families with high evening loads, electric vehicles or anyone planning to add more solar in the future.
