50kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Ballajura

The DMG Solar crew is back in the northern suburbs, this time delivering a 50kWh AlphaESS battery system for a Ballajura household that already had solar on the roof.

Adding battery storage to an existing solar setup is one of the fastest ways to drop a power bill without ripping anything off the roof. The panels keep generating, but instead of pushing surplus energy out to the grid for a small feed-in payment, it goes straight into the battery for use later that night.

The AlphaESS cabinets sit cleanly against the wall under shelter, with the inverter and isolators positioned for easy servicing. Bollards protect the unit from accidental knocks and the required hazard signage is in place to keep the install fully compliant.

At 50kWh of usable storage, this is a large residential battery bank that can carry a typical Perth household right through the evening peak and overnight on stored solar energy. It also provides serious backup capacity when the grid is unstable.

The install was led by Carl, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, who handled the cabinet mounting, wiring, isolators and commissioning.
