This Byford homeowner already had a 6.6 kW solar system in place but wanted the ability to store far more energy, reduce grid reliance, and safeguard the home during outages. The solution was a 50 kWh AC-coupled battery system, installed neatly along the garage wall and integrated with their current solar setup.

Installation details

The AC-coupled design allows the battery system to operate independently of the existing solar inverter, making it ideal for older systems or homes wanting storage added without rewiring the solar array.

Each battery cabinet was mounted securely, interconnected through rigid conduit, and tied back to the main control unit. The bollards provide physical protection and meet current installation standards for larger battery systems.
