40kWh Growatt Battery Installed in South Lake

This South Lake home now has serious overnight backup, a 40kWh Growatt battery system installed and commissioned by the DMG Solar team.

Most residential battery installs sit in the 10kWh to 20kWh range, so a 40kWh bank is right at the top of what a typical home would ever need. That kind of storage capacity gives the owners genuine independence from the grid through the evening peak and well into the next morning.

The Growatt hybrid inverter and battery cabinets are mounted along a covered exterior brick wall, with the hazard signage, isolators and conductor runs all neatly laid out. Bollard protection has been added to keep the cabinets safe from accidental knocks.

Growatt’s residential battery hardware is designed to integrate with existing solar systems, so this storage build will pair neatly with the homeowner’s PV generation, soaking up the daytime surplus and releasing it across the evening.

The install was led by Darren, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, with the team handling the cabinet mounting, conductor runs, isolators and commissioning in a single visit.
