The first thing you notice in the photos from this Carlisle job is the EV charger hanging on the wall right beside the new battery. We fitted the pair. A home that charges a car is a home that can use a lot of solar and a lot of storage, and this system has plenty of both.

Up on the Roof

The roof is long, straight Colorbond, which made the layout simple: two long runs of panels following the ridge, adding up to a 14.72kW solar system. A larger array means more daytime generation to share between the house, the battery and, when it’s plugged in, the car.

In the Garage

The GoodWe ESA went in against the cream brick wall with the isolator beside it, warning signage above and a steel bollard at the front corner. With four battery modules under the 10kW inverter, the stack holds 33.28kWh of storage, a solid reserve for a household that may be topping up a car in the evening as well as running everything else.

Planning Around an EV?

If an electric vehicle is on the cards, it’s worth sizing solar and battery with the car in mind from the start rather than adding capacity later. The team installed the charger on this job as well, and EV charger installation is something we do regularly alongside solar and battery work. For a different approach in the same suburb, our earlier Carlisle installation paired 9.97kW of solar with 50kWh of AlphaESS storage.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DMG Solar & Electrical did an amazing job installing my 50 kWh battery and solar panels today. The team was friendly, professional, and very patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly. They even cleaned my garage after the job!

The work was done efficiently, at a great price, and to a very high standard. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality solar and electrical work. Thank you team!
