10kW Solar + 37.2kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Southern River

The DMG Solar team is back in the south-east corridor with a tidy 10kW solar plus 37.2kWh AlphaESS battery upgrade at a Southern River home.

A 10kW PV array provides plenty of headroom for both immediate household consumption and charging the battery bank during the day. The owners wanted maximum daytime capture and the ability to live off stored energy through the evening peak.

The panels were laid across tile roof sections in clean rectangular blocks, with rails seated into the tiles and modules clamped down firmly. From the ground, the rows sit flat and even, which is what you want both visually and for long-term performance.

Inside, the AlphaESS hybrid inverter sits above a stack of battery modules totalling 37.2kWh of usable storage. Two AlphaESS cabinets stand side by side on protective bases, with full hazard signage and isolators in place.

With this much storage, the household can use stored solar power right through the evening and well into the night before drawing any meaningful amount from the grid, which is exactly the goal for owners who want their energy bills to head toward zero.

The build was led by Carl, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, who handled both the rooftop solar install and the indoor battery commissioning.
