10kW Solar + 27.9kWh AlphaESS Battery Installed in Daglish

This Daglish home now runs on a 10kW solar array paired with a 27.9kWh AlphaESS battery system, a combination that comfortably covers daily household loads and stores plenty of energy for use through the evening.

The 10kW PV array was split across a couple of roof faces to make the most of the available north and west aspects, which is the smart play for a Perth household that wants both strong midday generation and useful late-afternoon production.

Panels were mounted on the existing metal roof with rails and clamps run cleanly along the corrugations, and the install was sequenced around the existing skylights and roof vents so nothing was disturbed.

Indoors, the AlphaESS SMILE inverter sits above a tidy stack of SMILE-G3-BAT-9.3S battery modules, three of which combine to deliver the 27.9kWh of usable storage. Hazard signage, isolators and shutdown procedure labels are all in place for a fully compliant install.

With 10kW of generation feeding a 27.9kWh battery, this household can run most of its evening loads on stored solar power and keep imports from the grid to a minimum.

The build was led by Carl, one of DMG Solar’s licensed electricians, who managed the rooftop install, the indoor battery stack and the system commissioning.
